Our Urinary Catheter Care Training is designed for support workers providing care to NDIS participants and individuals in community and home care settings.
Aligned with the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors, this course equips you with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely manage and support clients with urinary catheters. As a high intensity support, catheter care carries significant risks if performed incorrectly, making proper training critical for both participant safety and worker confidence.
You’ll learn best-practice techniques for catheter hygiene and maintenance, recognising and responding to complications (such as infection or blockage), and providing safe, respectful, person-centred care.
Delivered by an experienced Registered Nurse with real-world clinical and emergency care background, this training goes beyond theory, giving you practical, relevant skills you can confidently apply in the workplace.
Whether you’re an individual support worker wanting to upskill or an organisation needing staff training, this course supports safe, compliant, and high-quality care delivery.
Group bookings are available for providers and teams. Contact us to arrange tailored training for your organisation.
