Learn life-saving CPR skills on the Sunshine Coast with our nationally recognised training. This hands-on course follows Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and includes effective CPR, AED use, managing regurgitation, rotating first aiders, and essential communication with emergency services.
We also cover post-incident review, psychological impacts, and personal skill improvement. Ideal for individuals or groups, we offer flexible bookings and can come to your location for workplace or community training.
This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.
Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.
Refresher: Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour 30 Mins
Blended: Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour 30 Mins
Face-to-Face: Face to Face contact time of at least 2 Hours
Online with face-to-face assessment: Face to Face contact time of at least 20 Mins
Online: Online contact time of at least 20 Mins
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
This certificate has an industry recommended renewal period of 12 months.

Performance tasks and practical scenarios:
Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)
Perform CPR on an infant
Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
Students are required to complete a self evaluation against the following core skills as part of the enrolment process. This will allow your trainer to understand any additional support that may be required during the course delivery and assessment.
Learning: I can follow instructions, ask for help, and learn from feedback.
Reading: I can read short texts like signs and step-by-step instructions.
Writing: I can write short notes or fill out a simple form.
Oral Communication: I can listen carefully and speak clearly in a classroom environment.
Numeracy: I can count and use simple numbers.
