Support Worker

Dysphagia Support

$60

Course Description

Our Dysphagia Support Training is designed specifically for support workers who provide care to individuals with swallowing difficulties in NDIS and community care settings.

Aligned with the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors, this course equips you with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely support participants with dysphagia. These supports are considered high-risk, making it critical for workers to understand safe feeding techniques, texture-modified diets, fluid consistency, safe feeding techniques, positioning, and choking risk management.

This training goes beyond compliance, it empowers support workers with the confidence to deliver safe, person-centred care while reducing the risk of serious complications.

Whether you’re an individual support worker looking to upskill or an organisation needing team training, this course ensures you meet best-practice standards for high intensity supports.

Group bookings are available for organisations and teams. Get in touch to discuss tailored training options for your staff.
